Context Switches

I don’t use an external monitor, ever.

Navigation of the operating system and applications should be ingrained behaviors, muscle memory.

The less I have to think about my navigation between applications and through my code the more room I have in my brain for the problem I’m working on.

If I had a different set of behaviors at the office hooked up to a monitor I would be constantly context switching a bunch of those behaviors for the larger screen.

I don’t think a giant sideways monitor would have helped me. I doubt it would now either.
